Amarilla decided very early that she was much too old for games of tag, and was quite content to simply do her part when R’nd herded the laughing greenrider towards her, though he dodged past her much too easily to be at all fair! Though the game was indeed fun, she was quite pleased when it became apparent that the bluerider was interested in ending it, and she stood firmly before B’jin when he came half-stumbling towards her, laughing and breathless, to be captured securely by his partner… and promptly forgot her presence.
Having been a Lady of Telgar for quite a long time, Amarilla was used to many things, including being ignored or snubbed. Being promptly forgotten however, was completely new and for a moment she simply stared in shock, before her lips pursed in irritation, even as she watched the pair with frank curiosity. She’d never seen two men act like that before… and she wasn’t sure she was comfortable with it continuing, especially at the expense of her being ignored!
Giving a delicate little cough, Amarilla quickly forgot her irritation in favour of bursting out into delighted laughter at the cascading reactions the small sound caused.
It seemed like forever since they had played such silly little games, but B’jin knew it could not truly have been very long. Silly games were more or less his specialty and he enjoyed keeping R’nd on his toes and surprising him. Randomly stealing clothing and dashing off with it was still a favourite form of taunting the bluerider, and usually resulted in many more items of clothing finding their way free of bodies, and into B’jin’s stash of stolen goodies. As such, it was within the norm for B’jin to forget about absolutely everything else when R’nd finally managed to snag his laughing, breathless self, even if he had just moments ago been planning how to dodge by Amarilla.
A shiver of delight tingled down B’jin’s spine from the spot R’nd’s warm breath brushed against his neck, causing all the little hairs to stand on end and the greenrider’s eyes to widen slightly in surprise at the words that breath carried, and he gave a husky little laugh. The embrace was warm and familiar, and B’jin leaned into R’nd as his lover extracted the basket of treats from numb fingers his mind distracted from the treats he had almost won all for himself and, for a moment, completely forgetting about Amarilla’s presence.
Twisting around in R’nd’s arms, B’jin wound his own securely around the bluerider’s neck, his expression coy innocence. “Is that so?” His voice was a soft, breathless murmur, eyes sparkling as he caught his breath after the game of chase, his lips just barely separated from the kiss he was delaying giving R’nd simply because he could. It was a kiss R’nd would not be able to steal as Amarilla gave a delicate little cough from behind B’jin, looking somewhat torn between wide-eyed curiosity and embarrassment, and just vaguely pouty about being so easily forgotten.
B’jin jumped terribly at the light sound, cracking his head against R’nd’s with a yelp of surprise that became a strangled groan of pain. His face became a crimson mask as his eyes welled with tears of pain and B’jin pressed a hand to his head, crumpling to R’nd’s feet with a sulking pout as he cradled the sore head and glared balefully up at Amarilla.
The Lady, still laughing gleefully at the whole ordeal, swept in gracefully and claimed the basket from the men and took it back to the small blanket she had spread out. Seating herself, Amarilla produced a small treat and took a dainty bite, watching her companions thoughtfully. “Do all your games take turns like that?” She took another bite of her treat, starting her question watching B’jin, before shifting her gaze pointedly to R’nd, the question far more directed to him.
