K’tir laughed at the reply he wasn’t expecting but really should have. He felt the warmth of Ghaeth’s love wrap around him through their bond and smiled as his silly dragon flopped down and let some of the younger kids still running loose climb on him. He really hoped they didn’t have paint handy like the ‘brats always seemed to. “Very true. Even when you do want to be alone, you never truly are with a dragon always in the back of your mind, though some are stronger than others at blocking the link when needed.”
The wine was eyed once more and K’tir finally picked up the bottle and leisurely poured more into both glasses. There wasn’t any reason to let it go to waste! Switching out the bottle for his glass, K’tir tried to sip it to enjoy the fine flavour but his growing inebriation was making it a bit harder to tell the good from the bad and be a true connoisseur. “But having a dragon is still different than being with another human,” he finally picked up the train of thought again and regarded Ekshan thoughtfully. The man was interested in dragons and the Weyr life but some facts of it would likely still bother even the most open-minded of them all. It was still even a bit weird to him, truth be told. “Ghaeth’s flightlust affects me but my own lust can leave him relaxed and in just as great of a mood.”
K’tir frowned as he started to lose the point he was trying to make and drank more wine, hoping to find the answer in his glass. He did, to a degree, as he gave up with a one-shoulder shrug and grin at Ekshan, “anyway, other men and women are always a welcomed sight.”
