K’tir turned in the direction he heard his name being called, wondering who it was that was looking for him. It only took a moment to register the man as Ekshan, a Northerner that was full of questions borne from genuine curiosity and interest. He really hadn’t expected much from Holders that came for the last Hatching but Ekshan had been a surprise and the conversation rather refreshing. No doubt he could expect more of the same on their newest meeting.
“I don’t think anyone had,” he replied with a chuckle, gaze taking a moment to scan around the crowd that was slowly filling up with mingling dragonriders, “but we wanted to show everyone how we truly celebrate such occasions. I think tonight will be remembered for quite a long time.” Given some of the men he had already spotted, K’tir didn’t doubt that at all. In fact, some of the antics that could happen would likely be seared into the minds of the Telgar citizens. Even the typically well-behaved lost themselves when enough alcohol and cheer surrounded them and a glance at R’nd and B’jin with drinks in their hands moving closer to the Harpers had K’tir hoping they put on another good show.
Tell him I say hi! Ghaeth’s energetic voice boomed through K’tir’s mind and he didn’t even need to see his dragon way over on the edges of the gathering area to know the brown was bouncing from foot to foot in excitement. “Ghaeth says hi. He seems as happy to see you as I am. I admit, I had hoped to see you here.” K’tir took a long sip of his drink as his gaze slowly trailed down Ekshan’s fine figure before coming to rest once more on his face like the barely behaving man that he was.
