Ghalath drew her head slightly at the splash, blocking her eyes from the water. It wasn't a startled or angry withdrawal, but rather how a mother feline looks when her kittens start bounding on top of her head. Very much a 'look what I've gotten myself into by having kittens' look. After all, Ghalath didn't play. The girl would have better luck trying to get a herdbeast to dance. Apparently wherries were excellent at knitting, as well.
Ghalath turned her green head towards Z'jan, who was seemingly quite busy acting like a fool back on shore. Though her draconic expression didn't change one bit: 'what have I gotten myself into indeed...'
But hearing the girl's insult/question, Ghalath turned her attention back to the splash-happy fledgling. She enduring the second splash without even a flinch. Instead, she eyed the girl, sizing her up again. As if the first time had proved insufficient. But oddly, the color of her swirling eyes didn't change, but remained a neutral turquoise. The green seemed to give the question due consideration.
[ghalath] yes[/ghalath]
Z'jan, meanwhile, was straining to hear what the girl had said. Ghalath hadn't exactly blocked him out, but she wasn't being very accommodating either. And perhaps all those years of wind whistling in his ears, or pressure buildup from deep lake dives had damaged his hearing somehow. He blinked confusedly, staring at the pale squiggle near his green.
"NO SHE'S NOT EVIL! I SWEAR!"
Fucking Ghalath. What the hell had she done this time. He tossed his shirt on a rock and stepped out of his pants, leaving his undershorts on for modesty's sake. Then he jogged into the lake, water splashing about his knees, waist... then with a plunge he dove under the chilly surface. Surfaced. Began swimming out towards the epicenter of the unknown fiasco.
