Rhaedalyn wordlessly followed the tug to her hand, sitting when Z’ia sat so she could continue to stare at him. She had made such a mess! She hadn’t known about the skydiving from Aveleth and hadn’t meant to interrupt it or startle the blue pair nearly to their deaths. Then she had made things worse with a hissy fit over miscommunications between all of them. Then she had harmed Z’ia and upset Aveleth to such a point that it looked like the sweet blue dragon might vanish on the spot and she was certain she saw Z’ia trembling from the emotions at one point as well. Now all she could do was wait to be smacked or yelled at again for all of her screw ups.
When it didn’t come but apologies continued to fall from beautiful lips, Rhaedalyn started to relax but she was still worried about doing anything that the bluerider hadn’t approved first. She could feel Aradissicath’s discontent over such fears and the willingness to put herself fully in Z’ia’s control so nothing else went wrong, but Rhaedalyn was learning how to block and ignore some of the connection so she did her best to push away the negativity from the large gold that still hadn’t moved from where she regally sat watching them all.
When Z’ia laid back and took her with him, Rhaedalyn allowed it with a barely noticeable nod before shifting around so she was lying on her back and looking up at the sky as well. It was a game she was not only familiar with but one she loved to partake in. Even when she didn’t have anyone to play with, she’d lie in the sun and stare up at the clouds to find shapes and let her mind wander to daydreams that usually involved the man beside her but oddly enough the scenario she was currently in, had never been in a dream. She didn’t know what to do but Z’ia seemed happy enough to leave their hands linked together and start looking for pictures in the clouds.
“It does,” the agreement came on a soft whisper. Rhaedalyn was currently worried about even talking too loudly. Aveleth and even Z’ia seemed so rattled and she wanted to make sure they were relaxed and she wouldn’t bother either of them again. “That one is a star,” she pointed with her free hand to a cloud close to the flower one but even as she spoke, the lopsided star shifted and it lost one of its points, causing Rhaedalyn to frown.
“A broken star,” she tried for a soft laugh but it came out a bit on the sad side since she felt like a broken star. She was such a failure as a goldrider which were meant to shine brightly and help guide the Weyr in their own little way and she wasn’t feeling much more confident in her role as a person right then either.
