Rhaedalyn frowned as she came to a stop, gaze sweeping over the area around her as she turned in a slow circle. Where had Z’ia disappeared to? She could have sworn she heard him in one direction but then it seemed like he was suddenly over in the opposite direction. Directions were already a weak area with her but Rhaedalyn didn’t think her hearing was so horrible as well! Maybe it was echoes she was hearing and if she paid enough attention to the sounds, she could figure everything out. An attempt was given with eyes closing since she had heard once before that dulling one sense helped increase another. So if she couldn’t see, then her listening skills increased, right?
When that didn’t seem to help any, especially since Z’ia stopped answering her, Rhaedalyn started to walk around the trees again, hoping to find the bluerider. She was starting to get worried and even a tad confused about what happened. Had he slipped back out of the forest to hop on Aveleth and leave her lost amongst the trees? It was hard to think Aradissicath would let that happen and she didn’t think the kind blue dragon would be a part of that either but it was always hard to tell what someone would do. Z’ia was playful and it could all be a game to her.
The sudden hands over her face made her scream in surprise and while the voice was heard, it was heard too late and on reflex, her right elbow went flying back where it jabbed her attacker in the stomach. With a gasp, Rhaedalyn spun around and stared in shock at Z’ia. “I’m so sorry!”
