Ryvian did know better than to comment on Indivara saying she was the idiot but he still made a face that implied he wasn’t going to argue that she was on the top of the list for dumb moves in this matter. Thankfully, it went unnoticed due to her glaring at nothing in particular and not directly at him. Ryvian suspected he’d be holding his stomach in pain as well or maybe his jaw if she saw he liked the idea that she was an idiot. When she gave an answer as to who the father was, however, Ryvian didn’t hold back the ‘are you kidding me?’ expression he levelled on her.
He was suddenly rubbing at his temple, annoyed at the nonchalant shrug and answer. He was trying to help! There really wasn’t a reason as to why knowing the name would help any since as Indivara pointed out, there wasn’t much he could do now. Perhaps just knowing he had fathered a child – or another, depending on the dragonrider – might encourage the jerk to own up to it and help Indivara in some way. Again, he wasn’t sure how and it seemed his friend didn’t think much of the assistance either. Any comment he had on how hand-holding might be nice or how they were thinking alike with how Ryvian would have gladly offered his to her again was lost as Indivara was on the move and going for the bucket.
Ryvian cringed and couldn’t help the disgusted face as she retched and he scooted away a bit more. No, that wasn’t a good friend. Sure, he didn’t want to wear or smell any of that and the sound was enough to make his own stomach queasy but he was fairly certain Indivara was implying she had him around to lend a hand and while it was done to mock him, Ryvian figured he could prove her right for once right then. He got to his knees and inched forward again and brushed back all the stray strands of Indivara’s hair to keep it out of her way and, more importantly, out of the bucket.
Tryst, the wisest of them all, had stayed away from Blood Sucker and the humans. There wasn’t a need for him to hover around or get near the unpleasant smell despite how he worried over Ryvian and his own worrying. In fact, he decided it was best to leave entirely before more fighting started up as it was hard to tell what mood anyone was in. A chirp was given to Ryvian before he vanished to go see Lace, his demure green counterpart.
“If I have to do this a second time, then you’re definitely naming the kid after me,” he teased lightly, trying to distract Indivara from the discomfort vomiting always brought but still Ryvian tried his best to be supportive as well, holding the hair back in one hand and rubbing her back with the other. He had no idea if what he was doing was helpful or not he was trying! That was more than could be said about the mystery father.
