Rhaedalyn had been keeping a careful watch on her flitters, R’nya in case he suddenly had a case of simply having to skip then and there, and looking out for more flowers. It was definitely starting to wear her down by the time resting for a bit and eating were suggested. The mere thought of sitting and relaxing with her friends perked Rhaedalyn up enough that she was the one nearly skipping from her little patch to drop the last few flowers into the basket before what would almost be considered as an inelegant flopping into the vacant spot.
“Everything looks wonderful to me, Kally! The fruit especially, so you don’t need to worry over that,” she smiled warmly at the gold weyrling before plucking up a piece of the now-hyped up fruit and popping it in her mouth. It really was good! Kahleena seemed to have skills when it came to grabbing the juiciest morsels so Rhaedalyn certainly didn’t have anything to complain. Complaints weren’t issued when Muffin pounced for the offered piece of meat. It made her life easier when someone else helped with her fair. Muffin alone sometimes felt like five firelizards! A coy little glance to R’nya was given to see if he’d follow suit and give in to Whisper sitting prettily between them, not saying a word but occasionally tossing a look to the bronzerider from the meat that was on his plate. “Muffin and I appreciate your spoiling of him!” She giggled, watching as Muffin looked expectantly at Kahleena for more.
Rumour was given a piece for his good behaviour when he landed on Rhaedalyn’s shoulder and followed Whisper in not making a fuss. He likely would soon enough by stealing a piece here and there but for the moment he was going to be the best blue anyone had ever seen. Rhaedalyn knew his tricks but she found them kind of cute and ended up not being able to break him of the habit.
As for herself, Rhaedalyn put a nice chunk of cheese on a slice of bread and nibbled on it as she gazed around the forest and listened to the sounds that only nature could produce. Birds chirping and the breeze rustling leaves were extremely relaxing and it made for good background noise to lull her into daydreams. Since she was with friends, however, Rhaedalyn tried her best not to get too caught up over how a stroll with a loved one through the forest would be romantic with a nice picnic to enjoy like they were currently doing. Thankfully, her flitters helped in playing a distraction and when Rumour hopped free of her shoulder to land on R’nya’s other side, Rhaedalyn giggled again but let him be.
“Did you have any other plans later today, Ren?” Rhaedalyn was genuinely curious but she knew she was also playing as a distraction for her sneaky blue. He liked a bit of challenge and while Rumour adored R’nya, he also liked to see if he could one-up the man that always seemed to know everything.
