Kahleena flushed slightly, but giggled herself when R’nya pointed out that she had dirt on her face, the girl carefully lifting the hem of her shirt and brushing it over the side of her face, the entire length of her chin, and then paused. After a bare moments thought, she brushed it over the skin again, before brushing her shirt down flat. The material was filthy with dust and dirty, and she frowned when it occurred to her that she may well have made the smudge worse by adding to it, instead of removing it. Who cares? I do! Kahleena giggled, brushing at her face again as Rhaedalyn demanded to know if her own smudge was taken care of.
“You have a patch of leaves on your back, Rhae,” Kahleena giggled, crawling forward to brush hands over her friend’s back. She was still fussing with the other girl’s top when R’nya spoke, and Kahleena peered over Rhaedalyn’s shoulder with huge brown eyes to stare at the bronzerider in shock. “R’nya!” Kahleena breathed, mortified. Those were the types of statements R’nya usually went out of his way to protect them from, not utter himself! Kahleena, still staring at the bronzerider in horror, was taken by surprise when Rhaedalyn tugged her hat over her face, the back of the hem popping up to bop Kahleena on the bottom of the chin.
The younger girl shook her head slightly, and sat back, her bottom resting on the backs of her legs as she rested her hands on her knees, still frowning at R’nya. The bronzerider was all flushed! Xyreith is making it worse, Okalinath giggled cheerfully, sharing her thoughts with careful dedication to both women, but excluding the bronze and his rider. She wasn’t about to spoil all the fun! He keeps twisting his words, she added, giggling as she wriggled and slid over the side of Xyreith, clearly being included in half of whatever conversation the bronze was having with R’nya.
“Goodness me!” Kahleena exclaimed, her voice highly amused as she shifted to sit beside Rhaedalyn. “First he laughs, and now he’s redder than a virgin on her wedding night!”
