Kahleena flashed Rhaedalyn a bright grin at her approval for Muffin spoilage, the girl offering the blue firelizard in question another piece of her food when he peered up at her with such an adorable expression. The girl crooned softly under her breath at him, thoroughly enchanted before taking another bite of her own food, catching Rhaedalyn’s eye by accident. The glance alerted her to the actions of little Rumour, and Kahleena took another bite of her lunch before she burst into gleeful giggles and gave up the game before it had really even began.
No plans at all? Kahleena prodded at Okalinath, confused by R’nya’s unusually vague answer. She was quite sure R’nya always had a plan, for just about everything and anything and that was why he was never taken by surprise and always seemed to know everything. How could you know everything, if you didn’t know what you were even going to do during the day? The girl narrowed her eyes, studying the bronzerider seriously for a moment. Her look rapidly changed to one of bewilderment when he turned such a serious looking expression on her and Kahleena leaned backwards slightly, confused.
“What?” The girl exclaimed, eyes going huge. “Ohka- What? Okalinath!” how could her dragon be chewing on such a dignified beast as Xyreith?! How terribly embarrassing! What? Oh, relax Kally. The gold dragon snorted as she stalked Xyreith playfully, watching the grumpy bronze dragon with happily swirling eyes. If he wanted out, he’d be gone. Kahleena frowned iin concentration, using the very unpractised skill of sharing her dragon’s gaze just in time to see Okalinath leap on Xyreith with a mock roar.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Kahleena said with great dignity, offering some of her sandwich to Muffin, hardly feeling hungry she was so terribly embarrassed. “I would never Impress a dragon that uses her betters as a chew toy!” Giving her chin a flick to get her hair out of her face, Kahleena bit down with airs of femininity into a redfruit, avoiding eye contact with serious determination. There was a slight smile curling up the corners of her lips, but that didn’t destroy her embarrassment!
Oh, you are ridiculous! The dragon’s voice was rich with love and affection and her eternal amusement.
