“Positive,” Kahleena asserted cheerfully, tossing Rhaedalyn a blatant wink that gave her away. She wasn’t one hundred percent sure. It was more like… maybe, seventy five? Or perhaps eighty five? But it was more than twenty! Something like that, anyway! At any rate, Kahleena didn’t mind. They’d find some type of flower, she was sure – this was Katila, after all, and the sun was always shining (when it wasn’t pouring!) – so! There was bound to be some type of flower flowering that they could pick! Right? Right!
Kahleena glanced back as well, when Rhaedalyn sung her teasing comment at R’nya, and giggled joyfully at his flat expression. Her laughter rolled free joyfully when Rhaedalyn whispered to her, the sudden image of R’nya skipping too much for the young woman to handle, her free hand lifting joyfully to cover her mouth as she tried to contain her giddy glee at the very idea. R’nya, skipping! Looking back over her shoulder at the stiff bronzerider, Kahleena flashed him a bright grin.
“Giggling like what, R’nya?” Kahleena asked sweetly, batting her lashes playfully up at the bronzerider when he caught up with them. “We’re not – Okalinath!” Kahleena gasped, scandalised, as her dragon finally pounced upon the great bronze dragon, knocking solidly into him and chirping playfully, completely unfazed by the older, larger dragon’s complete lack of desire to play with her. Huge brown eyes set on R’nya, who simply raised an eyebrow at her in a manner Kahleena thought might have been his amused way, but she was too flustered to read him properly.
Xyreith is such a party pooper, Okalinath told the girls cheerfully, reaching out to include Rhaedalyn with a playful poke to the other girl’s mind. No sense of humour at all! She sounded positively charmed and Kahleena groaned softly, mortified. In a sudden desperate ditch effort to shift all attention away from herself and her disastrous dragon (Don’t be so dramatic, my love!) Kahleena caught R’nya’s eye and stared up at him even as she blurted breathlessly, - “can you skip?”
