Amorandii glowed more brightly than a proddy gold at Talian’s hug and declaration, positively thrilled by the words and affection both, the little girl wriggling gleefully on the Healer’s knee. She would have expressed her delight with an enthusiastic declaration of a ‘yay’, but the child swallowed any outbursts that might have made it past her lips as the timid firelizard inched toward her, and Amorandii froze as her eyes widened dramatically. The girl quivered with delight as her little fingers extended tentatively to pet the blue firelizard on the head, cautious and dramatically exaggerated movements born of her fear of harming Fellis as she had Khaduceth moments before.
“Pretty Fellis!” Amorandii cooed softly, withdrawing her hand and folding them in her lap, fingers wrapped together as she beamed up at Talian in soul encompassing delight, wordless in her delight at being allowed to coddle the little firelizard that usually went out of his way to stay well out of reach! A frown took over, however, as Talian spoke his dragon’s name and nodded at the beast, Amorandii tilting her head in confusion and looking first at the brown, and then up at Talian. “That’s what I said!” Indignation filled her voice, it alongside the expression painted across her young face made her every bit her father’s daughter.
B’jin, for his part, just laughed and shrugged when Talian turned to look up at him, the Harper moving forward to place a hand lightly on Talian’s shoulder, before gingerly offering a finger to be sniffed by Fellis, watching the little firelizard with a slight pursing of his lips the only display of his actual distaste for the animals at large, before withdrawing his hand and placing it lightly back on Talian’s shoulder. A devious expression tipped his lips, causing a smirk to flicker into life. “Andi,” B’jin purred softly, “Why don’t you tell Talian what you have planned for his next birthday?” The greenrider smirked devilishly as the child launched into an exuberant and very colourful explanation of what terrible tortures a six year old could think up for her older brother’s birthday.
Don’t worry, Larrikith’s voice came gently to brush against the minds of both Talian and Khaduceth, B’jin included in the conversation as she laughed softly. She won’t remember a whit of what she’s saying in a day or two. B’jin sniggered, a sound that (luckily) coincided with a laugh of Amorandii’s own – at least he wouldn’t be accused of laughing at his daughter!
