Ilveriath loved it all. He loved the feeling of his small body riding the warm breeze, he loved the sense of closeness to I'shan, and he loved the excitement and joy he could feel rolling off of the girl. Rhae was a a sweet human, so filled with simple joy that Ilveriath felt he could share moments like this with her often. He loved bright and happy humans, as was evident by his choice of lifemate. I'shan didn't let a lot get him down, and he only got stronger as the turns wore on.
You are most welcome, young lady the sweet blue said in a doting tone, angling himself higher and opening his wings to a new burst of wind. The dragon sailed upward, still hanging relatively low but venturing high enough to give his passengers a good view over the trees. The lake could be seen shimmering in the distance and glossy dragon hides dotted the sky. For a moment, I'shan almost felt like things had become normal again. He gave Rhae another squeeze, not minding the pressure of her hand on his, and rested his chin on her shoulder.
The blue dragon made a few more lazy circles before I'shan directed him downward. Too much excitement probably wasn't good for the little fire lizards, and I'shan himself was getting hungry. Ilveriath complied, angling himself downward and returning to the ground, where he settled gently and gave off one final rumble of approval before lowering his head and lifting one paw to provide a step-down.
As always when giving rides, I'shan quickly unbuckled himself and sprang to the ground. Squee chittered excitedly on the way down, causing I'shan to giggle a bit. The bluerider spun around and held out his hand. "C'mon down," he said, inviting the girl to use his hand to make the descent easier.
