He felt Talian stiffen against him and suspected the man to recoil in disgust. Erisi shouldn't have pushed the healer so far, but he thought he deserved something for what he'd put up with throughout the day. So, he held fast to the kiss until he felt Talian cave into it. Then, he could kiss him the way he wanted to, and he did. There was little doubt that he would do anything else in this situation. Erisi likely would have kept kissing him, kept pressing for a little more than Talian was inclined to give him, if Talian did not end it. Perhaps if he did press more, Talian would give in, but he relented.
The kiss ended and Erisi leaned back against the headboard of the bed. "See? You can kiss me. It wasn't half bad either." he pointed out in a smug tone of voice, despite how visibly upset Talian was over the kiss. Truthfully, the man sitting next to him could not deny that he had responded to that kiss, that he had put his arms around Erisi and had returned the kiss earnestly. He had made the move on Talian, but he had not locked the healer into it. Talian could have resisted, and he didn't. Erisi considered it a victory, even if it was clear now that he wouldn't get much more out of the man, likely ever.
He wasn't as upset about that as one would think. Erisi hardly indulged himself in romantic relationships. They didn't work out. Erisi had a personality that grated on every one of his partners' nerves. When the nice fluffy feelings of the initial spark in a relationship dissipated, it ended. Erisi had learned to like it that way - he far preferred flings to actual relationships. It was more satisfying.
Admittedly, getting a little bit of what he wanted out of this encounter did wonders for his disposition, and eased some of his own embarrassment.
