Valerian wasn’t too keen on seeking out a regular person to help sate his needs after losing a flight but there didn’t seem to be much else to do in that scenario. It all seemed to lead to sex with someone or getting drunk and he sort of questioned his new view on things when the random sex seemed to be the better answer. At least he had some ideas to work with now, as unhelpful as they currently seemed. Valerian was convinced he could figure something out and not have any repeat collisions with friends or even foes. He was so disgusted with himself for that and how it changed the relationship with Talian. While he was glad that bothered him to no end, Valerian was a tad concerned how the two blueriders nabbing him didn’t bother him now. In fact, he much preferred that over seeking out someone else; at least with them they were all in the chase and understood the results.
Crinkling his nose at what was to be his new way of life, Valerian grabbed his glass and downed the remainder of the contents. The sweet juice was still as delicious as the first sip and perhaps he would have savoured it with slower sips but Valerian was using it as a way to excuse himself from the conversation he didn’t know how to end properly. Getting to his feet, the weyrling meandered over to the kitchen area and set the glass down in the sink. He wasn’t that desperate to offer to wash anything. But he was going to be nice enough to thank B’jin for the help, however little it really was in the end and returned to the sitting area where he stayed standing.
“Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure how well anything will go but I still got to try,” he looked around the room, trying to decide if it was the right time to leave but his gaze went back to the papers and B’jin’s hesitant explanation of being distracted when it came to marking. He owed his friend the assist, right? Sighing, Valerian sank back to the floor and picked up the quill once more. “I’m going to bet you won’t mind me finishing the marking, right?”
