Talian listened to B'jin's coy little response and puzzled over it for a moment. Initially, he overthought the quip and missed the implications, resulting in a blank stare. Then, as he looked between B'jin and R'nd, the truth suddenly dawned on him. The healer's face immediately boiled to a hot shade of red.
"Oh! Well," Talian said, inhaling sharply as he tried to compose himself without either crying or dying. Tal wasn't intimidated by sex like he once had been, but an implication like that was still a red flag. No blood relation or not, B'jin was his dad! And R'nd was...a dragonrider. That was not something Tal wanted to think about.
As Talian looked back at them, eyes wide with embarrassment. Was that B'jin's hint that he leave, or just a joke?! Tal swallowed and tried to prepare a response. "Well, that still doesn't tell me if I should leave or n-!" He grunted roughly as B'jin suddenly pitched him to the floor. Tal twisted around and squeaked, confused by the sudden mood shift. Why be surprised, though? This was B'jin, the Lord of Mood Swings.
Before Talian could do anything at all, least of all figure out what exactly was going on, he felt unexpected contact. The healer's heart skipped a beat as he felt fingers closing in on him, uninvited and unwanted. He squealed again, this time with much greater urgency, and started pawing wildly at the floor in a sudden attempt at escape. He flailed, he wriggled, his heart pounded, and..he laughed?
He forcibly wrenched himself away and flopped onto his back, facing his attacker with wide eyes. It wasn't the greenrider he'd imagined, but instead it was the one he should have inspected. Talian shuddered once and heaved a deep sigh of relief, his face heating up even more as he realized he'd just made a scene over nothing. B'jin would never hurt him! You stupid idiot!
That didn't fix the fact that he was being tickled. With a burst of nervous laughter, he retaliated. He dug his bony little fingers into B'jin's side and did his best to fend the greenrider off using his own weapon. "B'jin! No!" the healer squeaked. "I can't take it! No no no!" He laughed, and after a few more seconds, he cried. The tears were spawned by a variety of emotions, but at least for once, they weren't all negative.
