B'jin was twitchy, and had been twitchy all day. He'd woken early, before even a handful of hours had been slept through and slipped quietly out of Talian's bedroom to make his way home, only touching on Larrikith's mind long enough to find her curled up with Ayyonth still. The tiny green was completely exhausted, and B'jin really hoped neither R'nd nor Ayyonth would question her very real need to go hunting the day after she'd been 'hunting' all day. If either had questioned her, it hadn't been relayed to him.
B'jin had then spent the day dodging everyone. It wasn't quite obvious, as he slipped through crowds or turned away just enough to get away with 'missing' a friendly wave or someone attempting to catch his eye. He had, however gone to extreme lengths to completely avoid both R'nd and D'ren, neither of whom he felt he could successfully escape if they attempted to catch his attention - not if he didn't want to end up in the bad books, anyway. He considered both of them good friends and had high levels of respect for them. It wouldn't do to upset either by pretending he didn't see them (besides which, both of them would undoubtedly realise exactly what he was doing. D'ren he could almost guarantee chasing him down. He wasn't quite sure how R'nd would react.)
It took the greenrider only half the day to decide R'nd was probably avoiding him anyway. He had no idea where his dragon was, but the traitorous little green was spending an unhealthy amount of time with her side glued to Ayyonth, so he supposed she was with him. Somewhere. Instead, he kept a cautious eye out for the gorgeous blue. D'ren himself was spectacularly easy to avoid, what with the new arrival he'd received (a girl, according to the gossip). B'jin decided a little girl was perfect for D'ren, and that he should probably start putting Amorandii where Tsuen could try and coax her into something suitably feminine (like tailoring) and hopefully dispel any ideas the growing child might conceive about dragonriding. B'jin would not have his precious little princess on green (and he felt sorry for any Weyr that might get her on gold!)
"Andi. Go. To. Bed." B'jin's voice was a low growl, and he didn't so much as look in the little girl's direction as she stopped, turning to peer toward her father where he was curled up on his stool by his desk. He was drawing, she could tell by the way he was scrunched up. The scent of Klah was strong on the air, and Amorandii wriggled on the spot, swaying so her nightgown danced around her ankles.
"But-!"
"Bed!" B'jin barely got hte single word out, before the knock came on the door, and B'jin frowned, turning around even as his five turn old daughter danced across the room and flung the door open before B'jin could object. Scowling irritably, B'jin strode across the hut and set one gentle hand on Amorandii's shoulder, spinning her around and giving her a solid push toward the bedroom. "Bed!"
Pouting, with her big blue eyes opened wide, the little girl's gaze flickered between her angry looking father and the stranger in the doorway. After a moment's hesitation, the child spun around and high tailed for the bedroom, the door slamming closed behind her as she leapt onto Indamor's bed and shook him awake. Something was up! An adventure!
B'jin had no idea whom he might have been expecting when he turned to face the door after glaring at the bedroom door to make sure Andi wouldn't come back out. His expression was full of exasperated amusement as he turned around, but it washed out into wide eyed surprise. "J'ver." His expression altered, eyes narrowing and his body shifting to block the doorway, indicating quite clearly that S'kef's slut was not welcome in. "What do you want."
