He smiled at the mind within the shell, offering a mental note of thanks. He liked this dragon. Maybe, he thought, maybe this would be his dragon… If not though, maybe the baby would at least give him a nod or some other hello when they made their appearance. He ran his hand affectionately over the shell before he let it slip free, nodding.
Content and pleased with the interaction, Taydarell cast a long look around the cavern, with all of the other candidates and so many other eggs; there were so many potential matches, and he hoped that he might be among them. He hoped that last egg might contain his dragon. But, if not, like the last dragonet seemed to give him the feeling, he would make a good match for a dragon someday, anyway. There would be other hatchings. And other dragonets. And eventually, he would find his, even if it took a little while.
T’pel had Impressed within his first turn standing, but then again, Zarrie’s mother Impressed barely before aging out. There was lots of time. The idea of needing to Impress within his first turn started to slip aside, and while he thought it would be amazing to have a dragon right away, he started to think that it might not be too bad if his dragonet waited a turn or two before finding him. He could be patient.
With a small sigh and shrug, he made his way over to one last egg, looking over the subtle mottling of the shell before he placed his hands upon it, trying to be patient, but also open and happy.
