“Curious fella,” Ulliendis muttered with a smile as the questions came at him. He could appreciate that trait since he was much the same way. It served his craft well, just as a good answer did. He did his best to reply to every question he could recall and sometimes threw in a question of his own but they seemed to go unnoticed. Perhaps the dragonet didn’t have the answer or perhaps the presence was all just impressions and the questions weren’t even real.
It didn’t matter; Ulliendis was having a good time as memories were brought up and seemed to be inspected before another took its place. Unhatched dragonets were such fascinating creatures! Maybe he’d ask Rhamnus more about dragons in this state, though he knew the Healer hadn’t taken much interest in dragon healing and might not know.
He sighed at the sudden disconnect and how he felt empty and alone. Again he wondered if the brief connection of minds was what it was like all of the time for a dragonrider. To feel another in his head was odd, a little worrisome with some things he knew and did, but he also liked it. It left him feeling warm and special—more so than usual. Ulliendis knew his worth.
He doubted much time had passed, despite how long it felt answering questions, so Ulliendis made his way to another egg. He hoped to get at least get three eggs in since not only was the experience exciting but he could better compare each interaction with himself as well as with other Candidates.
With his second egg spotted, Ulliendis waited for the current visitor to walk off, counted to twenty to give the dragonet a moment, and then introduced himself with a hand to the shell.
