Katiryn frowned when she didn't immediately sense the presence in her mind and wondered if the little gold was okay. But when the wave of exhaustion hit her and her knees wobbled slightly, Katiryn knew they had connected. She was a little worried for the dragonet if she was feeling so tired but the thought was shoved aside when the sensation of approval struck her. A tear escaped as Katiryn nodded at the strength needed to keep helping her daddy and how hard it had been at the beginning. He had been so angry and dejected in turns. She worried often for him and quietly begged Ghaeth more than once when K'tir slept to not take them between. They would get through it and she fully believed it now.
The slow departure at first didn't bother her, as Katiryn enjoyed the small connection, even if the assurance of moments before had faded. But the disconnection did start to drag and she worried about being rude and taking her hand away before the dragonet had dismissed her. Finally, when the feeling of being alone in her head was once more evident, Katiryn stepped back and lowered her hand. She gave Ferra a smile before walking away, lost in thought about the brief-yet-lingering experience.
Normally she would still go and Touch another egg or two despite the desire to end up on gold, but this time, Katiryn decided she was done. She was left warmed and reassured about her dad and everything she had been doing to help him and a part of her was convinced this was the dragon she was meant for. A little further reflection was in order and perhaps a bit of dissuading herself from the idea this was her dragon. If she was wrong, she would be utterly devastated if she latched onto the idea too much. So she took a seat in the stands to think while watching her friends continue with the Touching.
