Aederyn couldn’t help but giggle with delight at the little green’s antics. She was going to be a handful, it was plain to see. Then the reserved but decisive blue…and a brown! She flinched, ducking down and leaning away, even though she wasn’t anywhere near his path. She didn’t want to run, though. She was done running. She wanted to fly, and if her wings were in this clutch, she’d be damned if she was too scared or distracted to possibly miss Impression.
With a deep, steadying breath, she scanned the sands and rocking eggs, noting the healer looking after one of the injured. Her eyes met Zahrah's briefly, and she returned her quick smile, glad she hadn’t been hurt, and trying to send all of the mental good feelings she could. Then her eyes wandered to the stands…Alekse! He made it! Who was that with him…? Wait…No, she told herself firmly. No distractions. She had to be completely aware to what was happening on the sands around her. Her dragon might be here, after all.
Setting her jaw determinedly, she danced on the balls of her feet, ready to go wherever she needed to be.
