Think he would mind loaning some clothes?” Helyna turned to Vondal, her nose wrinkling. “No offense, but you’re riper than a redfruit left in the sun and those clothes look stiff enough to stand on their own. There shouldn’t be many folks in the bathing room at this hour, so we could talk there. Then… I have a guest room in my weyr at Benden. I can put you up until we figure out more.”
She assured Cazan and Sariel she would be fine, and that Iliyith could call for anything if needed. They arranged to get some of L’gan’s spare clothes and possibly also a brief check-up (though she didn’t mention that to Vondal, not wanting to spook him any further), and the two retreated to catch up some more with what he could remember.
