"You don't have to bother, really. Sorry to trouble you. I'm sure I can find her on my own." Vondal didn't want to trouble anyone with his nonsense, especially when he couldn't even remember what it was he needed. He still took the klah though, unable to turn down an offer of any free food or beverage. He took a hasty sip, burning his tongue and leaving him wincing and blowing on the cup to try to get it to cool down.
He glanced nervously over at the dragon again, not liking how close it was. "I'm afraid I can't really say... it's just important that I talk to her." At least he hoped it was important that he talked to her and that it wouldn't just leave him with more mysteries or some sort of uncomfortable truth. The most he remembered was a vague sense of dread when it came to the craft hall, and an overwhelming need to hide. It was why he'd opted to stay with the sailors who had found him so many years ago. What better way to hide than on a ship?
What if he had a terrible secret? What if he was some sort of wanted criminal and that was why he was hiding? Was Helyna an accomplice? Or a victim? Maybe it was a terrible idea to find her after all. But he still had to know. He tried to frantically scramble for a fake name to use for the moment and said the first thing that came to mind. "Dally. Sorry, forgot to introduce myself. I'm Dally."
