“Nonsense. I believe I was standing still when I fell. I did have a bit of help but you will hardly be counted as the only one on this day,” Yfris replied as he got to his feet and dusted himself off. A light dusting of snow coated the ice in spots and with how chilled his bum was, he no doubt had snow frozen to his pants and that simply wouldn’t do.
“Yfris, second son of Misty Hold,” he shook B’kit’s hand and smiled at the man. He laughed when the girl was brought up again and didn’t bother giving her even a glance over his shoulder. “Don’t worry about it. She’ll return later to check on me, likely with a friend or two, I’ll pout as I dramatically retell the horrible event, play up an injury that doesn’t exist, and have them all cooing and pretending they know the first thing about healing.” A usual game of lords and ladies, really. Yfris was a master at it but it was growing rather tedious as well. And may the ocean take him if that was a sign he was maturing and ready to settle down!
“Is that Erebuth?” Yfris asked as he spotted the small blue dragon on the edge. He smiled but he found it odd how this particular dragon didn’t seem as filled out or as large as every other dragon he had seen. But who was he to judge dragons? Maybe they came in varying sizes just like their colours and patterns. “Hello my new dragon friend! It is a pleasure to meet you as well.”
