Cazan pressed another soft kiss to his lips before taking a deep calming breath. She nodded; it was nice to hear him say that he was staying, that he wouldn't leave her. She knew they were just words, but they helped serve as reassuring anchors while everything felt insane around her. She was almost embarrassed about how worried she'd been about telling him the news. Because of course he wouldn't abandon her. He was a good man, and he'd be a good father too.
"Wait, he is? You will?" Caz blinked at the idea of him staying for longer, almost surprised that his dragon was willing to be apart from his wife for so long. She was used to being respectful of his needs, and was already grateful that Syrendryth was willing to let T'ryn visit as often as he had. She gave him a tight squeeze. "Of course I'll have you. Please thank him for me. And thank his wife next time you see her too."
She was so happy and relieved that he'd get to be there more often than not, though a different spike of fear shot through her. What if they just started to hate each other from having to be so close all the time? Part of the original plan had been to get her own separate weyr in Telgar so they could take their time. Not that a baby cared about that. Cazan turned to T'ryn and softly added, "I'm sorry if I act irrational and crazy. Just as a warning I have been losing my temper a bit lately." She frowned in embarrassment as she added, "I even called Helyna a baby making whore when she was trying to help me figure out I was pregnant and not just getting fat for no reason."
