Some of the men in her life really needed to work on their conversational skills or at least realise it was okay to talk about themselves sometimes. Mylorah accepted the light hug with the birthday greeting that she knew was F'drel's attempt to avoid further talking about himself. If they were alone, she may have pressed him a bit more but given their surroundings and the hint she felt was hidden in the 'happy birthday' meaning 'this is your night so let's not talk about me' Mylorah smiled as she stepped back and gave a little twirl to show off the dress.
"From T'ryn. I swear that boy either thinks I can't dress myself or doesn't like what I own," she honestly loved what T'ryn picked out for and he didn't do it regularly so she was just playfully picking on her brother to get a conversation going that wasn't about F'drel. She also made sure not to mention Tazikel and his own enjoyment of playing dress up with her. She knew it was out of necessity as she didn't have proper clothes for Hold parties but she also knew F'drel would view it as controlling her or trying to change her.
She babbled a bit more about what she'd been up to recently and even about her trip to Fort Weyr earlier that day. Knowing how much Quinvalis meant to F'drel, she had even stopped in to check up on the boy so she could relay any updates or messages. R'dal lived in Fort and F'drel likely went there regularly himself so such a thing wasn't needed but Mylorah hated that she didn't really know someone so important to her friends and wanted to spend a bit of time with Quinvalis as well.
She was about to try dragging him over for a cookie again when R'dal appeared and Mylorah's smile brightened. "Your not-boyfriend just arrived. Go hang out with him. I'll swing by again later if you're still here. Don't feel guilty if you leave before that happens." She gave F'drel another kiss to the cheek before heading over to R'dal to give him a hug, point out a few things, and then give him a nudge towards F'drel before she continued her dance around the room to where Sh'ran was seated.
Knowing Dyoricath wasn't too far away but had also calmed down a bit, Mylorah chanced it and sat in Sh'ran's lap, swinging her legs around to drape over the arm of the chair, and curled up against her friend. "I missed you, Mimi," she pouted, even though they saw each other regularly. It just wasn't the same since the gossip had to be censored and they couldn't cuddle up like they used to. "Kordi actually showed some emotion and confessed to missing you as well. He also said he misses the silence from not being bonded but really, did he ever truly have that with you around?" She laughed as she teased her talkative friend but it was something she loved about Sh'ran.
