Helyna refrained from commenting on the dryness of N'mor's tone. She was barely holding on to her own civility by the thinnest thread, and she could understand his frustrations. If she could have been a goldrider without ever having to interact--let alone sleep with--men, then she would gladly take that opportunity. There were more freedoms in a Weyr, but also some highly inflexible rules and expectations due to colorist opinions and draconic biology.
Scrubbing a hand over her face she excused herself and slipped into the bathing room, closing the door. She permitted herself a few moments of revulsion as she took stock of everything that had happened, then set about scrubbing away any trace of a Flight. Helyna resolved to ask for a quick trip between in the morning, sure Iliyith would permit Rhezalth to take her since the gold had held off nearly two years for Helyna to adjust to the idea of Flights in general.
Drying off, she reemerged into the main rooms. "Bathing room is all yours," she told him before he startled her with a cheerful smile over a pack of clothing and a razor. Well, at least his mood was improving! "You have a thoughtful mate," she said, smiling in return and stepping aside to let him freshen up.
She changed into a warm nightgown and quickly stripped the bed, figuring N'more didn't want the reminder of earlier any more than she did. Besides, he had her sheet. With fresh linens taken care of she yawns and debated crawling back into bed right away, but instead pulled a chair closer to the fire. Pouring a small glass of wine she pulled out her drop spindle to work a bit before he came back and clear her mind.
Thank you for the consistency at least. Not having to go through all this with a complete stranger.
Only a somewhat stranger? The sleepy voice was tinged with amusement. Helyna sat up straighter in the chair. Oh, so now you'll talk with me? Now that I'm not booting him out? Iliyith mumbled something about the ledge being warmer with two, and Helyna rolled her eyes but didn't push it.
Helyna heard the door open and looked up from her spinning. "Sorry if I was rude earlier. I was off balance. Just a bit."
