It took a bit for Cazan to really settle down about after all the commotion, she kept drumming her fingers on her knees, accidentally drumming on T'ryn's leg, eventually switching to just crossing her arms and trying to tuck her hands away to keep them still. The eggs kept hatching though, and things seemed to be going well again. Even with a few more bold babies moving a bit too enthusiastically she was able to shift her mindset back to awkward baby foals rather than accidental murder beasts with all their antics. Especially when the latest little blue dragon ran a few laps around his new boy.
"Hey, how long-oh!" She started to ask T'ryn a question when the second gold egg finally hatched and instead she gave him a nudge and gestured towards the baby. Maybe this one would be the one to pick Katiryn and then she could go back to her little workshop and get some sort of gift made for friend. But then the little gold couldn't seem to make up her mind, first one group, then another, and then she looked her way and Cazan stopped breathing for a moment as she stared.
Oh I fooound you! The soft and delicate voice echoed in her head as the little dragon began to scurry her way. "What?" Cazan whispered the question, in her mind reeling, unable to really comprehend what was going on. There were so many emotions, and part of her wanted to just bolt from the stands, especially as soon as the little thing tried to climb the barrier separating them. But why are you there? I found you!
How in the world was she supposed to reach her person now? Malvayth gave another little chirp, frustrated. Why was her rider so confused? Why was everyone so confused? And now Cazan was scared? Some people were starting to whisper, someone was calling her fat! "Hey you're not fat," why were those words coming out of her mouth? Why was she trying to reassure the little dragon? Why did she know it was becoming upset? Cazan was beginning to panic, people were starting to look, and all she could think was oh fuck go away, everyone's staring they'll know!
Malvayth hunched on herself in confused irritation, why would her rider tell her to go away?! It was all of those people! How dare they!Stop staring! She shrieked in protest for the whole Weyr to hear, voice scratching like nails on a chalkboard in her petulance. The sound and the sudden emotion sent Cazan curling up and clutching her head. The little dragon tried to claw back over the barrier again and was about to let out another enraged screech when her rider finally came over, crawling over the barrier to desperately hug the baby dragon. "Okay, okay I'm sorry please stop, please don't do that again it will be okay."
But that was only making everyone stare at her more and she looked up, still so many emotions running through her head, not all of them even her own anymore and stared up at T'ryn in a panic. "Help..."
