Once Ghaeth got word of the Hatching, it didn’t take long for all of Ista to know about it and A’tay was thankful for that. Mylorah was Standing for it but also his little sister Wynera had decided to start Standing as well and he wouldn’t miss seeing her out there for anything. He also knew one of F’drel’s sisters was Standing and while he was still slowly hanging out with the greenrider that had been so kind to him, A’tay had figured out enough to know the man was protective of his actual siblings and the friends that A’tay decided were like adopted siblings. F’drel just gave off big brother vibes and that was probably why he was drawn to him and opening up a bit more around him.
But since they both had sisters on the Sands, A’tay was feeling especially close to F’drel that morning and after he dressed, he headed over to see the greenrider and offer his services to help bring one of his other sisters along if they wanted to go. That ended up being a whole ordeal but F’drel sorted it out by telling which sister was riding which dragon and that was the end of it. A’tay wondered if maybe he should have just gone ahead and left the green pair to bring the girls but he was committed to it now.
As they worked their way up the stands to where an excited R’dal was frantically waving F’drel over, A’tay saw T’ryn with a group of his friends and B’jin and R’nd sitting close by them as well. He always sat with his family but they all seemed to be in their own little worlds and enjoying themselves so he continued up with F’drel and his sisters and shyly sat down beside Maleah. Since she was a lot more outgoing than he was, she asked him some questions about the Hatching and who he knew that was Standing and A’tay appreciated her kindness. He also happily pointed out both of his sisters and they fell into easy banter about little sisters.
