Narinoa was already awake when the humming started and frantic assistants came tearing through the dorm. He was still clean of the sex klah but that meant the nightmares weren't being held back as easily. He'd woken in a cold sweat an hour earlier and laid in bed trying to steady his breathing and not wake up any of the other men around him. After the rather benign Touching, he had hoped that would help balance out the horrible one of Thallyath's but it hadn't. Then again, he also had a couple of Hatchings that liked to haunt him as well with the murdered people surrounding him. He hadn't been able to do anything at the time and now they liked to remind him how horrible he was for that crime. Even now, he still felt their dead eyes on him, full of accusations.
So when the commotion started, Narinoa gratefully took to it and threw himself into the task of getting ready. Of course that meant he was getting ready to march to another Hatching where anything could happen and the ghosts would likely follow him there as well but he'd do his best to focus on happier things. Like combing his hair. Yes, sure, that was always fun with how much curl he had. At least the wincing with each tug was distracting.
When he couldn't put off that walk any longer, Narinoa tossed aside the comb and headed out... and then turned back for some water. He was parched and still felt out of sorts so the water he chugged back was just what the Healer ordered. Or probably not. He could hear L'gan and Sariel both lecturing him about needing food or how they would prescribe him something if he'd only ask. That thought amused him and helped keep his spirits up as he entered the grounds and spotted the spunky Healer already there and ready to go.
Narinoa slipped up beside Sariel and slung his arm around her shoulder in a friendly gesture. "Morning, Beauty. Ready to walk away with one of those shiny gals today?" If anyone was going to Impress one of those golds, it would be Sariel. She was so determined and head-strong that he felt she'd simply stare down one of them into Impressing her.
