Dareji would hardly call herself a leader and she didn’t think she’d ever be one either, but to have the little gold boost her up did feel nice after the last egg. But she did agree with everything else. She had to be resilient after the landslide. Her home was destroyed and a lot of lives were lost but she had to keep going for herself as well as others that needed her. Just like the Hatchings that had deaths or the Touchings that showed unimaginable things. Someone had to stay strong so they could help others along the rocky path and her parents had raised her to love and respect those around her so she nominated herself.
What didn’t kill you made you stronger, right?
She thanked the gold and walked away with a little smile. Dareji didn’t think she was meant to be a goldrider but it was nice to have that one’s vote of confidence. The good vibes stayed with her as she moved away from the clutch and to the stands. She had lost track of time and didn’t know how much was left for their group, but Dareji wanted to share those good vibes with someone and she made her way up the steps to Kordiavis and ignoring his glares as she tried to strike up a conversation.
