D'hys had done his best to stay neutral on Ista's latest disaster of a Hatching. He didn't approve of a blue winning a gold but he didn't go around shouting it to everyone he saw like some dragonriders seemed to have the urge to do. He was also on the fence about the weyrlings that had so far survived. They were abominations for the fact that the sire was blue but they were still dragons and against the odds, surviving which he was happy for. He would always have a soft spot for dragons and couldn't even wish death upon the three that managed to live long enough to bond.
So when his walk through the Bowl from Zeianth to his destination had him overhearing the screeching of one of the weyrlings he sighed and found himself on another fence. If you don't go over there, I will. The little ones don't need such negativity and lessons need to be taught to those that should know better. D'hys couldn't argue with his dragon since he was thinking the same things, but did he really have to be the one to play defender to the weak, like Zeianth seemed to enjoy?
It looked like he did as he saw Mylorah join the fray and saw the way the men tensed, possibly spoiling for a fight. He reached the group just in time to grab the back of the shirt of the man that had made to lunge at the girl and yanked him back, leaving him to stumble as he got his footing again. "Really? Weyrlings and girls when I'm right here? If you're looking for a thrashing, you only have to ask."
