Sariel was quick on her feet and with her clothes which went from Healer to Candidate as fast as possible. Her hair had been intricately braided up for her Healing rounds that she'd just been let from. The six eggs the gold had laid were hatching and despite the Touching that had rattled her, she'd touched all of them.
Now, she Stood for them. The more Candidates who came, the better it would be for the dragonets. Their dam looked about as pleased as she had at the touching, sad and discontent. Sariel let out a long breath as she stepped onto the hot sands to join the Candidates who'd gathered. Her eyes found L'gan's and some of the tension in her frame eased. She might need her quick reflexes today but she turned her gaze to the six eggs, silently cheering them on with all the positive she could manage. It was foolish, perhaps, to send out her love and acceptance but she did it anyway.
They deserved lifemates, all of them.
Despite Thallyath's radiating aura of displeasure, there was going to be a Hatching and if she was going to hum, Sariel would. It was no mighty dragon hum, but she hummed all the same.
