"I take it from the way you aren't moving or even humming that you don't care and don't plan on going?" T'ryn wasn't surprised given the animosity between Syrendryth and Thallyath though he still couldn't figure out why beyond the usual 'they aren't good enough for us' argument. A little elaboration wouldn't hurt!
When he didn't get a reply, T'ryn sighed and moved from where he was doing his own paperwork--an updated family tree for N'mor that had Z'rin and Zararin on it--to where he stored their riding gear. "Too bad for you, because we have to pick up a special Lord for Mylorah. I don't care if you enter the Grounds or not after that." He wished his stubborn dragon would but wouldn't fuss about it.
He had just finished putting on his boots when Mylorah burst in to remind him about Tazikel, and he barely got out a laugh before she was gone again. His flirty sister definitely had a crush. She had asked him to pick up this second son of Tillek a few weeks earlier and T'ryn had asked around to find someone that had been there before to give Syrendryth a hand in this task. Once achieved, they had done a few practice jumps there since, especially since Tillek was a nice Hold and T'ryn was drawn to their ocean view and the serenity it brought.
With them both geared up, they headed off to Tillek where he had the delightful time of trying to get someone to track down Tazikel for the Hatching he was invited to. T'ryn was pretty sure he was purposely being given the run around either because someone didn't like dragonriders or because they were stalling to give the Lord time to get ready. In the end he really didn't have to wait that long before a man with curls appeared and given Mylorah's name for the man, T'ryn felt he found the man and could see why she liked him by appearance at least.
Having safely brought the second son of Tillek to Ista Weyr, T'ryn relaxed a bit and waved Syrendryth off to do his own thing, though he'd have to keep the straps on until later. "This way. I'll show you to the stands and you can sit with me if you'd like. I'm not sure who else is coming from the Holds. But I won't mind the company or explaining anything if you haven't been to one before. And I won't be offended if a friend shows up and you want to sit with them instead."
T'ryn guided them to the stands, finding a spot near the front and waved when he made eye contact with Casa. He had been in her shoes a turn ago and wondered if she was as nervous as he had been. Maybe more so given the drama surrounding the Flight and Touching. He'd done his best in distracting her from it by offering help with the maps and even starting up a game of pictionary one evening that ended in a lot of laughing at their art skills. Now, he wanted to go give her a hug or just hold her hand during the whole thing to offer her some support but Thallyath would likely bite him in half if he dared get that close to them right then.
