Kordiavis had spent the days after the Touching debating whether he wanted to actively Stand or not. He couldn't fully get out of it because he had touched one of those scrambled eggs but they had been given the option to stand further away so they weren't front line Candidates but still close enough that a dragonet could find them if they were meant to.
Why did he even bother with such a small clutch that was sired by a blue? It was disgraceful and his mother had ranted about how she never would have let that happen and neither would the other golds of the Before Times. That was almost enough to make him Stand right in front of the cursed eggs and throw himself in front of any that hatched. But he was tired of being contrary and doing things she didn't want.
He wasn't even going to let the disappointment Mylorah and Misharan would have in him sway him, as tough as that would be to face later on. Actually, it was already tough as he walked in and saw Mylorah up front and focusing on Casa. Mylorah was a gem and even though she had been just as shaken as the rest of them, she still stood there like it was any other Hatching so she could support her friend. Too bad Casa wasn't someone he cared to know and he was pretty indifferent on Nerreh. And perhaps it was his snobbery from his ex-goldrider mother or being raised in Ista Hold, but Kordiavis was really not impressed by a blue siring a clutch.
He did, however, feel a bit bad for Thallyath and even Casa as he watched them while walking across the sands to where the clutch was. They didn't ask for this and while it was easy to say a tiny gold should have flown better and that Thallyath's attitude shouldn't have been so negative around the eggs, even he couldn't fully assign blame to them.
But he couldn't actively support them either as he made his way over to the designated zone for those that realised too late they made a horrible mistake and still had to suffer through a potential Impression to a nightmare.
