How to Train Your Firelizard
Sapphire, our new very blue firelizard, has decided Cirith is is best friend and she him. It's completely ridiculous. Just since the thirteenth, he's grown and grown again. He's been flitting off bringing in little fish almost bigger than he is, Faranth knows where from. He's not one to be babied either, at least not when he's serving his Lady.
Cirith has said he goes to the coast 'with friends' -- I suppose that's fair. The firelizards of Fort, as it gets chillier, would probably enjoy the sun in warmer climes close to the ocean where they can get their bellies full of fish.
He's a perceptive little thing, too, and organizational for a blue. I needed a particular herb for a remedy and he was already pushing the bowl I'd used to gather ingredients at me. He thinks he's a little brown, I wager. I shan't tell him otherwise. Cirith certainly dotes on him like he's grand and he is a little helper.
I can't help but notice his feet are huge. My dear life mate says she'll go find a small wherry for him if I'd like. I declined the offer. He can hunt for himself now, that's for sure. Especially since he's started bringing me berries for breakfast. Silly thing.
