V'ler continued staring at Indivara as he waited for her to give up on the guessing game. Seriously? What was he supposed to guess when there wasn't much to go off of to begin with. Maybe another misidentified dragon in the same clutch given their current topic but even then, it wasn't a small clutch. Thankfully Indivara's stubbornness was no match for her desire to prove someone wrong or share information she knew and no one else did and he finally got an answer--though he wasn't sure he had heard right.
At least until Veeth chimed in.
A blue won a gold? I knew it was possible! V'ler winced at the excited and loud dragon in his head and shot Indivara a glare. Did she really have to ruin his quiet bath ten times over with the news and riling up Veeth? He may have loved her, for some reason, but that didn't mean he had to give her the satisfaction she was clearly looking for from certain reactions. "Congratulations to the blue pair. I imagine the clutch won't be very big, if blues can even sire at all. I'll have to get permission to scour the old records and see if this has happened before." Honestly, the news was shocking and he was trying to figure out how it could have happened but he was a Harper and one that loved diving through the history as much as he enjoyed recording it. This would be a fun challenge to see if it had happened pre-plague and how often.
V'leeeeer, why can't I chase golds still? They should be loved by all dragons, not just bronze and brown. Let me chase them again, please? V'ler sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as he debated how to answer his dragon. Veeth's love of entering every single Flight was exhausting and finally led to V'ler putting his foot down and denying them gold Flights, though he didn't stop Veeth from entering any green he wanted--which was still all of them, of course. How about we wait and see how this union plays out first, okay? We'll go to Fort tomorrow and visit the girls and if a green Flight happens, I'll cheer you on. Veeth accepted the terms with a mixture of sadness and excitement but at least he was dealt with for the time being.
Indivara, however... "I hope Venseth starts chasing every green."
