“Um,” Madiquel said blankly, staring at Verec, before she realised she was most likely making herself seem incredibly dull witted, and she snapped her jaw shut and considered his question carefully. What did she think this education would entail? While she’d obviously imagined being in classes and such, Madiquel quite honestly had no idea of what any classroom situation entailed. She’d never been in an actual classroom!
“I honestly don’t know, Sir,” she said, voice a little softer than usual and a frown on her face. “I learned to read and write in crèche with the other brats, but I’ve never had lessons.” It didn’t help that for the longest time their population was about ninety percent literal dragon riders and a few non-riders who had tagged along. That had slowly changed before they came North, but not enough that Madiquel felt she had any idea what a Hall classroom or learning style was made up of!
“I guess, maybe not so different from the Candidate lessons my friends attended?” She looked up cautiously. “They have some written lessons, and some lectures, and some practical,” her lips twitched, “like flying on a dragon.” Because Faranth knew, some people were not good with heights and that, well, kind of defeated the purpose of flying!
