It was nice having someone agree with him on dragons being weird and a handful. Not that no one ever did. It was more he didn't share that opinion much, probably because of his lack of social life lately and how those that had also Impressed didn't pop by as much. It was hard to explain why he thought dragons were weird and how they had certain quirks to those that didn't have one. They couldn't fully understand what it was like to have the constant companion in your head or how you knew they were getting into trouble without looking. You just [i[knew[/i]. Though, that was more knowing your dragon too well and what they'd get up to when left to their own devices. T'ryn had to admit, he was pretty lucky with Syrendryth. He only had to put up with the bronze's opinions on other people and dragons and he wondered what would be said about Halomirth. Seemed like he was getting along so far.
"As weird as they are and even with being a handful, I wouldn't trade mine in for anything." Not that he could trade him in but T'ryn didn't wish he never Impressed or anything dramatic either.Except after our glorious win. Right, except after that. But that was justified and he was going to do his best to thwart any other attempts in the future. He did not want to go through that again, especially if he won! That reminded him, he still hadn't put together a schedule of the known Flight patterns for the golds. The young ones like Nadioth and Bedith hadn't Risen enough to make a pattern but T'ryn would carefully watch from a distance and maybe avoid Telgar forever anyway. Maybe he should move to Fort. No one would be dumb enough to mess with Xyreith and Aradissicath and they oddly seemed to have less golds to worry about.
He was still thinking about what he had to do and weighing the pros and cons of a move that he knew he wouldn't do anyway when T'ryn remembered he wasn't sitting alone. "Shoot, sorry. Got lost in thought." His apology was sincere but T'ryn didn't know what else to say. He realised they had chatted mostly about R'dal which led to honorifics. An odd transition but anything involving R'dal was usually odd. But he didn't know what the next logical leap in conversation should be or if they needed one. Maybe F'drel didn't want to talk with him anymore or maybe he was also comfortable in silence as they watched the dragons swim. He decided to stay silent and see what happened.
