T'ryn could imagine what was found in the Weyrs, too easily in fact, and wished he could scrub away the images his mind was creating. He wanted to believe that other than the one skeleton that they now knew of, there wasn't anything else. But he knew better. Some dragons may have left their riders behind and the rider seemed able to go on... until they couldn't. He still didn't know how the ones that were now back in their lives were still functioning on any level. Oddly though, that wasn't what was breaking his heart as much as the mementos of happier times. It was kind of what they were doing there, wasn't it? Looking for items left behind. They so far had found mostly files and boring items, but what if they found a doll that was someone's favourite toy or a drawing that was of a loved one? No doubt the owner was now a forgotten memory. So on top of all the emotions that would come with a find like that, he had to worry about being scared out of his head with a skeleton. Great. At least he had someone with him, even if she was becoming paranoid.
Honestly, he felt like Casa was overthinking everything now, which was sort of funny since he was the one that was always accused of such a thing. Unless Thallyath was landing on every ledge and peering in, she likely saw the skeleton while flying, meaning others would have done so as well. Actually, they likely had peeked into every weyr in the past when they were clearing out the handlers and travelers looking for a home for a while. T'ryn was certain the older dragonriders knew about the skeleton and they probably did bring people to study it. He doubted they wore extra clothes or took baths before mounting up again. But, maybe they did. The old riders would be way more paranoid having lived through the plague, so even if it was proved to be safe, they probably still made everyone scrub down. Not like it would hurt them to change and bathe, though it would take up time. T'ryn wished he knew when patrols came by so they could time it and be out. Probably should have thought about that before being spontaneous.
"All right. So should we back track to the Candidate Barracks to find twenty-five turn old robes and then head off to find bathing rooms on route to the uh, not-so-buried treasure?" He held out his hand in invitation. It was still dark and they were both a bit spooked, so it wouldn't hurt to keep close. "Thallyath can let you know the general location and we'll head outside and back in closer to that area." It'd be quicker and involve less dark halls filled with more potential mysteries than he currently could handle.
