Misharan practically purred at Mylorah’s praise of his braiding skills. He loved being told he was good at things, and it had been a while since he’d tried his hand at braiding. “I’d be happy to do it up for the Hatching,” he told her enthusiastically, before considering it for a moment, “if it’s not ridiculously early in the morning, anyway. Though maybe I can braid half asleep, who knows.” The offered leather strap was taken with a returning grin, and Misha turned back to the braid, gently undoing the little hair tie he’d made and re-braiding the last few inches now that he didn’t need the extra length to act as the tie.
Mylorah’s assessment of Kordiavis had Misha nodding in agreement. Good that they were on the same page about him. If he could have read her thoughts then, in a few moments of silence while he finished tying the leather strap to hold the finished braid, he would have smiled at her fondly for her defense of him being excellent friend material. Honestly, he didn’t really mind that some people only cared about him in the context of sex. They were the ones missing out on his amazing personality, and if they only thought about having sex with him they were probably boring anyway — outside of sex anyway, some of them were really fun in bed. It just meant he valued his real friends more.
He giggled along with Mylorah at her reasoning for him getting to know C’dhin. “I am very talented at eating,” he said seriously, face solemn, before he made eye contact with her and started giggling again. Suddenly her braid was whipping around and almost hitting him in the face and he leaned back, startled. He gave her a wide eyed stare for a moment, confused, before what she’d said processed and he groaned, leaning forward to thunk his head against her shoulder.
“I know it’s the worst. It’s how long again? Six months? Nine? I always forget, I think I sort of don’t hear the details when they remind us of that due to recovering from hearing the words ‘no sex.’” He grimaced, forehead still against Mylorah’s shoulder before he sighed and sat back. “I dunno though, it might be better to get it over sooner rather than later. Like, what if I don’t Impress for another three turns or something, and say I started a real relationship with someone — don’t you laugh, Mylo, it could happen — and then I Impress and can’t have sex with someone I’m dating for months, wouldn’t that be even worse than just not being able to have sex in general? Like, if I was in a relationship I’d want to stay in it, right? And then that’d be torture cause we’d still be together and not able to have sex. That would be so fucking shitty.” Misharan gave a dramatic shiver, emphasizing how distasteful the idea was. “Dunno, might not happen. Whenever it happens it’ll be shit, but I’ll deal. A dragon’s worth it, right?” With another sigh, Misha shook of the melancholy at the idea of being sex-free for however long it was before grinning slyly at Mylorah.
“You’re right though, I should fit in as much as I can before the Hatching. Just in case. You too, of course. Maybe you can track down T’drin.” He winked at her.
