Misharan sighed loudly, “Let me dream, Mylo.” Considering they had gotten to know each other mostly at group events, Kordiavis’ preference to avoid large groups still surprised Misharan sometimes. Couldn’t blame the guy considering the sort of events Weyrfolk came up with, though Misha still didn’t really get the desire to be alone so much; it made hanging out inconvenient sometimes. Big get-togethers were usually a good excuse to see a friend you hadn’t seen in a while, and Kordiavis was annoyingly resistant to the idea. What if Misharan Impressed and didn’t get to visit until his dragon was old enough? That would be tragic. Maybe he should work out a ride to Ista before the Hatching if he couldn’t get Kordiavis to Telgar…
Pushing the idea aside for the time being, Misharan focused back in on Mylorah and her question of who to visit. He had a good long list of people worth knowing — Candidates, several green and blue riders, and a brown rider or two — which he started going through trying to decide who might get along best with Mylorah. The mention of T’drin’s name had Misha pausing from considering his mental list. He was pretty sure he’d met the guy — he could picture the man at least — but he couldn’t say he knew him well. As he started to confirm the bronzerider was currently still in Telgar as far as he was aware, Mylorah blurted out her realization that T’drin’s name sounded like T’ryn’s and Misharan had to laugh.
“Oohh, I don’t know, Mymy, they are both blonde…” Misha teased her, deeply entertained by her discomfort that a guy she liked might be too like her brother. It wasn’t something he’d worried about much himself, but his brothers were far away and he hadn’t met anyone with too similar names. “Then again, so’s Kordi. I’m also blonde. I think you may just like blondes in general.” he said with a wink.
“Really, I don’t think they’re that similar,” he reassured Mylorah, going over his memories of both men, “blonde, bronzeriders, male, and that’s really about it. T’drin’s a bit broader, isn’t he? Taller I think too, though I can’t say I’ve seen them stand next to each other. Can’t really speak a whole lot to personality similarities,” Misharan shrugged, “I’ve not really had much to do with T’drin, and only really spent time with T’ryn was with you around, so not much there either. Most bronzeriders don’t think I’m their type, so I stick to more fun people.” He stuck his tongue out at her with that, clearly implying that said bronzeriders were tragically mistaken in their thinking. Some bronzeriders got so weird when they thought another man was flirting with them, though honestly the awkwardness was sometimes worth it anyway. Maybe he should try it more often, it would probably be entertaining. With a yawn, Misha stretched his arms out along the bed before putting them back around Mylorah in a loose hug, “Maybe we should go through the rest of your recent conquests, analyze how similar each one is to your brother.”
