Halomirth's comments raised an eyebrow, but R'dal's was done in confusion. He got that some people liked to be bit and apparently F'drel may have been one of them but whatever the chipper green was going to say as way of explanation was cut off and R'dal was left in the dark with no idea where to even begin filling in the blanks. It was obvious F'drel wasn't going to tell him so he didn't bother asking. Besides, Edath would probably get it out of Halomirth and all R'dal had to do was ask in the morning. If he remembered and he didn't think he would. He just wanted sleep and didn't really need to know what F'drel liked while doing other things in bed and with whom.
R'dal patiently watched F'drel take his time getting ready for bed and was close to giving up on the man being perfect for cuddling with when said man finally laid down. Even as tired as they were and as relaxed as they should be, F'drel still seemed uptight and only partially inviting. He could have at least waved him over! R'dal pouted a little but quickly cheered up as he decided he wasn't shunned by getting a back pointed at him.
As graceful as a cat, R'dal slid closer to F'drel, taking the edge of the blankets with him. It was too hot to be covered but he liked having them all bunched up around him to nestle up in a bit more. With a practiced ease, he was soon lying on his side, back pressed against F'drel's chest, as his head claimed a small portion of the pillow that had automatically been placed where he assumed the greenrider would lie. He didn't really need a pillow of his own; if F'drel had laid on his back R'dal would have claimed his chest for resting on.
Everything was almost perfect. Just one thing was missing and when it didn't happen on his own, R'dal helped correct the error. He reached behind him, found F'drel's arm, and draped it over his body. "Perfect," he mumbled with a content sigh. Having a snuggle buddy made sleep so much better! "Good night, F'drel," he managed before the weight of the day finally became too much to handle and his eyes shut for a night's rest. Unfortunately his last thought before sleep took him was that he hadn't given an update status to anyone in charge and didn't let anyone know where he was. He'd probably be in trouble in the morning but he'd worry about it then. He was going to enjoy his night with his friend first.
