R’vi happily flopped on the other end of the couch after suffering in the kitchen. Seriously, who put their cups there? At least Indivara had remained seated though he knew she knew he struggled a bit from the face she was giving him when he finally emerged with the drinks. She would have been faster at the task but his conscious was happy she wasn’t on her feet and serving him. She even had some colour back in her cheeks – which R’vi suspected was from holding in her anger at being made to sit her ass down and not move.
“Life is hot! In several ways,” R’vi laughed and shook his head before Indivara could comment on that, “yes, I’m a whore and enjoying all the hot and sexy interactions with everyone but mostly it’s actually hot in Ista. It’s getting to the point where I might take M’ris up on his offer to let us relocate to the other Weyrs for a while.” He doubted he actually would, even if the Weyr was a bit quieter than usual with less people there and less interaction in general as everyone hid away in shady and slightly cooler areas. Moving to Telgar had its obvious perks though, and Indivara had pointed it out.
“I’ve tried to visit several times in recent memory but Veeth always tells us when you’re a bit too preoccupied with your mate for visitors to pop in unexpectedly,” he laughed again and took a sip of the juice. He was happy that Indivara was happy, happier even. He didn’t know if something had changed between the couple but when he had managed to cross paths with them since the ice skating fiasco, they both actually seemed interested in each other instead of being tolerating friends.
“You were also in lessons one of the times I thought about visiting when I was here. I watched you from a nearby ledge for a bit though. You seem to enjoy it!” R’vi was so proud of Indivara. She didn’t get her bronze dragon but she got an amazing blue dragon which was special in itself and now she was working on her goal of being a Weyrlingmaster. He’d never set such goals for himself and knew he was just sort of dancing through life but it seemed to work for him and he figured as long as he didn’t get in anyone’s way, he could continue to do so.
