Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! He didn't say anything for a while, only held her close, hoping the panic would lessen if they were quiet and cuddled with the cat. He thought Sunshine would have bolted from the high emotions and almost shoved him off himself so he could properly hold Xyliah but Jalazmar figured the cat would help calm her more than he would. After all, the cat had a bit more seniority than him when it came to time in her life; and Sunshine was amazingly cuddly and soft so he earned bonus points.
The silence also gave him time to consider options. If he was being honest with himself and loyal to his duties, then he would say that they had to have the child and hope it was a boy so he could have an heir. Really, that had never been something he had thought too long on. He wasn't going to rule High Reaches -- unless his brothers killed each other off, which was sometimes a high possibility -- and he never considered having his own plot of land that he would have to pass along to someone one day. He supposed he was going to try to be the adorable baby brother living off his brothers forever or maybe his wife would be in high enough station that they could bum around her Hold and promise not to be a threat to the line of inheritance.
But they were young still, especially Xyliah, and he had a feeling it was her youth and lack of life experience that was scaring her so much right then. There were ways around this pregnancy if she really wanted to put off being parents for a while and he'd support her in it. "I'll write to Azrin and our cousin J'ver and ask them if they know of something to... help," he really didn't like such phrases as 'ending the pregnancy' and struggled to find the right words, "change your body's current state." That didn't sound much better but still a better.
"Unless you would prefer waiting to see for certain you're pregnant? We could see a Healer." Jalazmar returned to rubbing her back and considered pushing Sunshine away after all so he could see Xyliah's face and hold her properly. Yes, that's what he was going to do. The cat was given a couple of nudges to his backside to get him to move and after receiving a dirty look, Jalazmar won the war and had a free chest again. Instead of guiding Xyliah to take up that place, he instead shifted so he was holding himself up on his arms over his wife with a wicked grin in place despite the seriousness of their conversation.
"It just occurred to me to ask them about preventative methods or something to safely use regularly as I have no desire to stop fucking you until we're ready to be parents." To prove his point, Jalazmar dropped his head to kiss Xyliah, teasing her with what she was going to have later. Or right then if she really wanted to be distracted from her fears. He felt he was pretty awesome for being so flexible like that.
