Misharan winked at Mylorah when she laughed at being called a shit holder. He really loved her sense of humor, it matched his well. They could tease each other and know everything was in fun, and it was easy for him to tell when she teasing. Mylo seemed like she could tell the same, so Misharan figured they wouldn’t run into too much miscommunication or accidentally genuinely insulting each other. He really would miss her when he returned to Telgar. If he returned to Telgar, better to think positive. And if he didn’t Impress, went back, and got real bored in Telgar he could in theory ask to transfer. They allowed that for Candidates, right? Or get friends with dragons to transport him all the time. Both could work.
He idly watched Mylorah eat one of the rolls, not really paying attention and just zoning out in the warm water. Eventually, he decided he should probably keep washing instead of just sitting there, and started scrubbing the soapsand on his arms and torso. He had just finished rinsing them off when he’d asked his question, laughing at Mylorah’s answer.
“That’s what I figured, though you never know. Some people are surprisingly dense or surprisingly perceptive.” Misha shrugged, rinsing the last of the soap on his arms off. “And as long as they know I’m still available I don’t really care what you say. Shit, tell them you know from experience how good an idea it would be, keep them intrigued.” He laughed, placing his hands on the side and leaning back to pull himself out of the water to finish washing.
