The squeak Mylorah made had Misharan concerned for a moment she’d jumped and hit her head on the underside of the table. Thankfully, that didn’t seem to be the case. “Hmn, maybe Journeyman, then.” He said, chuckling along with her. Imagine if he really could identify everyone he knew by the ass alone. That would be a real talent.
He listened to her explanation, nodding. Sometimes things just seemed to run away from you, even when there was no way they should have moved. Misharan lost shit all the time like that.
“Sounds like a pain.” He said, offering Mylorah a hand to make it easier for her to stand up. “I’ll help you look, if you like.” Not that Misharan would be great assistance, considering his own propensity for losing things. He’d become even more of a hoarder after moving to the Weyr, and keeping track of everything was too much bother. Just chuck it in a box or a sack and hope you can find it when you need it. But hey, two sets of eyes was better than one, so it couldn’t hurt for him to help. “You didn’t take it up to get food with you, maybe?”
