“Sister,” F’drel said over the tightness in his throat, “Kelikki. It is good to see you.” And he meant it, even if he was nervous about seeing her again after all this time. He smiled softly at her, as Halomirth gave him a mental nudge.
Can I say hi to her? Can I? She asked, resisting the urge the dance in place in excitement. The importance of appearing dignified was not lost on Halomirth, and she was careful to not let others see how eager she was to look around and greet Kelikki. But she knew what it meant to F’drel to come back her, so she restrained herself from wiggling. F’drel, for his part, was eternally grateful to his dragon. ’Let me ask her if she’s okay with it first, all right?’ Halomirth gave her agreement, and F’drel spoke to his sister.
“Halomirth wants to say hi to you herself.” He said, reaching over to rest his hand on the green’s neck. “If you’re all right with her speaking to you directly.” Halomirth slowly brought her head a little lower to be closer to Kelikki and trying to be as friendly looking as possible. Which, if you knew dragons, she very clearly was. However, F’drel doubted anyone here understood dragon body language enough to tell; Including Kelikki. “She’s very excited to meet you.” He added, hoping to make it clear that Miri wasn’t testing her or something like that. She didn’t have to prove anything to Miri, the dragon already loved her.
