The young woman felt odd standing in the middle of the open courtyard. Her hands running over her simple but well-kept dress, it was meant for formal situations and events. But Kikki wasn't sure what exactly kept her on edge, kept her smoothing out now existant folds in her dress and what made the palms of her hands sweaty. Was it meeting the New lord and lady her siblings had been gifted to, given away like an object? or was it the fact that she was going to see her brother again, today two whole turns after he left for the weyr? She takes a deep breath, composing herself, it was just how life was and she was in no position to do anything about it. But at least they were all staying together. Thank the servant head for not splitting them up. She wasn't sure what she do if she was suddenly told she be taken away from her family or they from her.
Dark hazel eyes would turn to the sky, she wasn't the only one waiting, at least she did not believe she was. Rumor of a dragon riders arrival spread like wildfire among the gossiping women of the hold. She heard a bit of it, some managed to keep it mainly to the truth while others had blown it up to what could easily be the weyr woman herself. A single feather to a whole foul.
But she was nervous to see him again, Fendrel, no F'drel her oldest youngest brother. She asked for him to bring her to Fort, she wanted to see him again, it been so long. She missed him, and while she wouldn't wish him back she really did wish he wasn't so far away. From what she managed to read from their short letter exchanges he was doing well. He impressed a dragon, he was a free man.
