While B’jin went out of his way to visit Telgar as often as he could, primary to see his young daughter, he was ever someone that was easily side-tracked or lost track of time itself. As a result, it wasn’t uncommon for him to end up not visiting for weeks or even (once!) a couple of months. Such times made B’jin feel quite guilty when he realised how much time had passed, and – since this was one of those times where he’d been slack and had not seen his daughter for no less than two weeks – B’jin had decided it was time to ‘drag’ R’nd down to the Hold and see what his delightful little girl was up to.
Landing on the outskirts of the Hold itself, B’jin dismounted Larrikith and sent her on her way, looping his arm companionably through R’nd’s as the bluerider joined him, he chatted idly about whatever came to mind as they made their way towards the main gardens. Larrikith had used her dragon-powers (B’jin’s term; he didn’t care how she did it, just that she did) to indicate Amorandii was in the gardens though she didn’t seem interested in poking into the child’s mind. B’jin got the impression she wanted him to surprise her with the visit, rather than warn her of it.
Rounding a corner, B’jin smiled as he spotted Amorandii dashing across the grounds, though it took him several moments to figure out she was chasing after a butterfly. By the time he realised that’s what she was after, the youngster had tripped and fallen. B’jin bit his bottom lip, torn between amusement at her ill fate, and proper fatherly distress. He opted on a rather aloof manner as he lead R’nd up to where the girl was.
“Are you alright, Andi?” He asked, smiling fondly at the child as he offered her a hand; when the girl was on her feet, he pulled her into a tight hug and twirled her around, being mindful not to have swinging feet kicking R’nd. “I’ve missed you, child!” He laughed, setting her down with a kiss to the head. “What have you been up to?”
